The Copenhagen Accord

As COP 15 came to an end The Copenhagen Accord was formulated by leaders of a number of key countries. Sort of a letter of intent, showing that the participating countries expressed a strong political will to urgently combat climate change, and a common understanding of the need to cooperate but with no clear timetable or targets. While COP 15 was a disappointment on many fronts, Vattenfall 's strategy remains the same: we are focused on Making Electricity Clean, and that means climate neutral operations no later than 2050. We will continue to stay engaged and push for better and more ambitious policy solutions that are in line with our strategy. Follow our journey towards clean electricity on www.vattenfall.com
